President Hugh B. Brown: (7)
We wish again to express appreciation to the Tabernacle Choir as we have so often done in the past. May God bless them, their members, their officers, their directors. They are doing the most wonderful work that has ever been done in the Church as a missionary effort.
We express also appreciation to others who have furnished music during the sessions of this Conference and their contribution has been acknowledged previously.
President McKay has asked me to express appreciation to our beloved associates, the General Authorities, who have delivered such timely and inspirational messages. He wishes also that we remember and express appreciation to the Press representatives, cooperation of the City officials, traffic officers, fire department, Red Cross, and we also remember the ushers who have performed so efficiently during the sessions of this Conference.
We want again to express our appreciation to the radio and television stations throughout the nation and in other countries.
We wish to announce that tonight the Deseret Sunday School Union will convene in this building at seven o'clock. All Sunday School workers will wish to be in attendance. The public also is invited to attend.
The President wants us to remind again that the streets are crowded, the highways are crowded. Please be careful as you drive.
And now, brethren and sisters, we come to the close of a glorious Conference, memorable in many respects. We all, of course, have missed the presence of our President, but I am sure we have all felt the presence of his spirit. May God bless him and may he know what a wonderful influence he has had on the sessions of this great Conference.
May God bless you and all of us that though we may not remember much of what has been said, I pray that God will help us to remember what we have felt while we have been in these sessions and that the resolutions we have secretly made may be carried out both with respect to the care of our own children, building of the right kind of homes, the establishment of peace in the earth. God bless you, my brethren and sisters, that we may have a memorable occasion as we return to our homes and recall the experiences of this Conference. The Choir will now favor us with, "Glorious Everlasting," and the benediction will be offered by Elder Milton L. Weilenmann, formerly president of the Alaskan-Canadian Mission.
