Explanation of Sources

The materials quoted in this book include the personal journals of Ezra Taft Benson (cited in the text as ETB Journal) and Flora Amussen Benson (FAB Journal), correspondence between the two (ETB to FAB, and vice versa), the European Mission History, the Church News and the Improvement Era, and some personal recollections of Ezra Taft Benson, referred to as ETB Reminiscences.

The editorial mechanics in the preparation of this material have been minimal. A few omissions of personal material have been made. Also, repetitive material has been edited for readability.
