These three books are the principal sources relating to the history of CCH. Taylor's study is brief but useful. Law's work is primarily a stringing together of documents generated by himself and others during the years of his presidency. Cummings's book is written in a flamboyant, exaggerated manner. An in-depth, scholarly study remains to be done on the founding and history of the institution.
