Phares {far-es'}
Greek: personal noun masculine

Possible Definitions:
1) Pharez meaning "a breach" was the twin son with Zarah or Zerah, of Judah and Tamar, his daughter-in-law. (B.C. 1730). The story is related in Gen. 38. The house of Pharez, in the reign of David seems to have been eminently distinguished.
